The Bridge of Lies is a metal bridge in the city of Sibiu, built in 1859 above Ocna Street that connected the Lower City and the Upper City. It is a pedestrian walkway that connects Piata Mică and Piata Huet. It is the oldest cast iron bridge in service on the current territory of Romania.

Romania's oldest cast-iron bridge. The Liegende Brücke (Lying Bridge) had been installed in place of a wood bridge in 1859. Liars Bridge go its name from the stories and tall talk of the nearby hagglers.

Originally, the bridge was made of wood. About 200 years later, in 1859, the Bridge of Lies was rebuilt, being the first cast iron bridge in Romania. The pedestrian bridge built over the street Ocnei connects the Lower Town to the Upper Town. Eleven years ago, the Bridge of Lies has been included on the historical monuments in the county of Sibiu and is a true symbol of the former European Capital of Culture. Currently, the Bridge of Lies is considered a romantic place where lovers meet to swear eternal love and to attach the locks of love.

The pedestrian bridge connecting the two parts of the Small square allows the link between the Lower Town and the Upper Town. The bridge is placed on a gate bridge belonging to the 2nd fortification wall. The initially vaulted passage used to be made through an conglomerate of buildings which had been demolished in 1851. The legend says that the bridge will collapse if someone will sit on it and tell a lie. In the local oral tradition circulates various legends about this bridge, legends about the lovers lies or those of the merchants that sold in the area.
