If you want to eat inexpensive traditional mexican food, there is this foodcourt inside Mercado de Medellin where the locals go to have breakfast (9-12) and dinner (1-4 pm). You can have chilaquiles, enchiladas de mole, chiles rellenos and traditional mexincan home made dishes.
Amazing typical market with fresh fruits, flowers, piñatas, meat, fish, juices.. colors, people and life!
Fruits, veggies, and meats are always the freshest in this market. The colors are super vibrant and the food is good too. TIP: If you are a coffee fan have a cup at the Columbian coffee shop. Also the Cuban ice cream place is definitely worth trying.
When a desire for Cuban ice cream, good-quality Colombian coffee or Venezuelan arepas strikes, this is the place to go. Alternatively, for those who do not have the chance to explore beyond Mexico’s borders, it is a great chance to sample authentic Latin American cuisine. Look out for Frutería Rafael (a Colombian fruit stall) and Helados Palmeiro (a Cuban ice-cream parlor).
