Enjoy ski-in ski-out to groomed trails, bike-in bike-out right onto trails, then cozy up by the woodstove or fire-pit at night.

Access the vast majority of our historic Stowe area land -- from our apple orchards to our extensive walking paths in fields and woodland. BREEZE Treehouse, at The Appleton Retreat is located on 120 acres of private land, bordered by 1,300 acres of a protected nature conservancy. To the south is the Pettengill Stream a resource protected area and to the north a large secluded pond. BREEZE does not have a hot tub but guests may reserve the sauna, which is close by and private. The Appleton Retreat is less than a 30 minute drive to Belfast, Rockport, Camden and Rockland, charming downeast seaside towns.

We offer one night stays! Enjoy stunning panoramic sunset views of the beautiful Belleisle Bay in the Star Dome; situated in a natural meadow near the lodge building. The Star Dome provides a unique experience with propane fireplace, and a clear roof for star gazing. The outdoor viewing deck includes a kitchen with all utensils/ hot sink, hot shower, toilet and BBQ. Round out your relaxation with our Finnish wood-stove sauna and cold tub at $50 per hour.
