Guests have access to 38 acres of woodlands & cottage gardens. Big Creek is easily accessible, clear, and has great shallow sections for kids or just sitting. Just minutes from HRSP, the bike trails, and the Dan River. Dog-friendly, $50 fee added in reservation. Pet disclosure is required and important.

The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.

Stony Knoll Vineyards Wine Lodge

A family heritage 1850 log home that was completely renovated in 2007. The front porch overlooks Stony Knoll vineyard grounds and tasting room which is across the street. This wine lodge consists of 1 full bath with a shower and jacuzzi, 1 double bed, 1 king bed and 1 single bed loft. A fully furnished kitchen for all meal prep. A full sized living room with fireplace and TV. Come and enjoy a glass of wine on the front porch or listen to the rain hit the country tin roof.

This unique property is a rustic cabin with modern amenities--created from an 1880's tobacco barn. Relax with your coffee in one of the rocking chairs on the porch, or overlooking the property on the spacious deck. This property includes 16 acres with hiking trails that lead to a 1/2 acre pond. Fish the pond and have a picnic in the peaceful setting. You are close to many outdoor recreation areas including Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks and the Dan River.

Private, three bedroom cabin located on a developing farm, with a beautiful pond within view of the cabin, a stream, watercraft, and miles of hiking trails. Our restaurant is available Friday Lunch - Sunday Breakfast. There are sometimes large, private events downstairs. Please ask ahead if one may affect your visit.
