Beautiful Lakeside Cottage in Donegal Gaeltacht

A lakeside cottage in Donegal's Gaeltacht on the Wild Atlantic Way. It is full of traditional character with thick, lime plastered stone walls and stone floors, while having all the modern comforts of fast WiFi, keyless entry, underfloor heating, great shower water pressure, and well equipped kitchen. A path goes by the lake to the rear of the property, and local walks will reward you with spectacular views. Annagry is a short walk away, where you can hear Irish spoken in local pubs and shops.

Our cosy hut consists of a comfortable bedroom with an enchanted view of Assaroe Lake: enjoy it on our 3 deckings! The cabin is very close to our house but secluded from it, buried in the woods. The room provides a tranquill escape from frantic life:- there’s Wi-Fi but no television , just a radio. Kitchen facilities are basic but functional. We provide the basis for a continent breakfast. Beaches and hiking trails are very close by. WE ACCEPT PETS ONLY AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THEIR OWNER

‘Inis Ealga’ is a beautiful five bedroom modern home. Central to all Gweedore has to offer, just minutes walk from Magheraclogher beach with the famous ‘Bád Eddie’. Next door to Peppers Diner and ice-cream parlour, and other local amenities such as the local traditional Irish music bar Teach Hiudaí Beag, restaurants, shops and less than twenty minutes drive to Donegal airport and Glenveagh National Park. Donegal Thatch Cottage

Paddys thatched cottage is a recently renovated property built circa 1880 set on 7 acres of farmland & still retains the original features/character including the internal exposed stone wall & large fireplace making it very cosy. This area is very popular for trail walking in the hills or the purpose built walkways. Outdoor activities are plentiful such as kayaking, sea swimming, guided rock climbing & golfing. If the weather doesn't permit you can always light the stove & put the feet up.

Glenveagh National Park, Errigal & Muchish Mountains, Ards Forest Park and Croilthlí distillery are all within a 30 minute drive.

It is a 15 min drive to Donegal Airport and the beautiful weather blue flag beach of Carrickfinn. In local nearby village of Kincasslagh which is only a 5 min drive you have the Viking bar & restuarant, and also supermarket and post office.

There are wonderful views from the cottage of Sleive League (Sliabh Liag) beyond.
