Whether its a romantic weekend for two ( no children) or a base for your adrenalin packed holiday around the central plateau, you will find our cosy cottage an ideal base. Please note,great views also mean a bit of a climb. We have 33 steps up to our door. If you have mobility needs please check the photos before booking. This apartment block was built in 1976, so does look old and tired on the outside.

The supermarket is a 15 minute drive, general store 3 minute drive and 2 boat ramps just a minute away. Perfect base for Whakapapa ski field, Tongariro crossing and various mountain biking or walking tracks.

We would love to welcome you to our exceptional John Scott home/apartment (with radiators!). The New Zealand Architect, John Scott, was an eccentric chap renowned for designing unique buildings. Our home doesn’t disappoint and we are excited to share it with the air bnb community. A self contained wing of our home sits in a tranquil spot. Two Sliding doors open to a private deck (can be enclosed) with a kitchen (hotplate, pot, frypan, coffee machine, tea, and milk in a small fridge), fireplace, private bathroom, and a stunning view from the outdoor bath and shower (hot water).
