The Copper Hide is a unique escape at Arth Valley Retreat on the west coast of Wales. This old dairy milking parlour was converted into accommodation some years ago but has recently (2024) benefited from a complete makeover. With a roll top bath, mezzanine bed with large star gazing window and Woodburning stove. During your stay you’ll be free to roam our piece of the valley that flows down to a river with waterfalls. Glovers Cottage is without doubt something unique. As you enter you will be struck by the space and the overwhelming character of this detached building. The owner has deliberately left the barn open-plan for guests to appreciate the huge A-frame beams and stonework. A feature handmade bed sits on the first level as you enter, and this area leads down two steps to the flagstone floor.

Welcome to our lovely character filled cottage ‘Y Bwthyn’ situated between New Quay and Aberaeron. It provides an ideal base to explore beautiful Cardigan Bay and the Ceredigion beaches. We’re less than a mile from Cei Bach and Traeth Gwyn beaches and half a mile from the Welsh Coastal Path so it truly is a walker’s paradise. You can even walk along the beach to New Quay at low tide.

As well as many guests visiting the likes of the elan valley, devils bridge and may other walking spots.
