A lockable shed for your sport gear is provided. Please note that the home has a strict no pet/party rule. Approved non registered guests only (max 4).

From parking to home there are 5 stair cases & 112 steps, it's sadly not for mobility reduced individuals. If available, we ca help with your bags. Nelson is a very special city. It has many restaurants and store that offer organic foods as well as vegan options. Lots of artists and galleries to shop from or simply to visit.

The Rusty Bear is our awesome home in Procter Point. Our rock beach on Kootenay Lake gives way to a world of watersports possibilities including kayaking, SUP and world-class fishing. The small community of Procter offers a General Store (complete with fuel and liquor) as well as the Village Bakery (with their famous cinnamon buns). Hiking and biking the Proctologist trails are just out the front door. Golfing is around the corner. Dining, if not on our amazing deck, is a short drive.

The dog-friendly ( 340 sft ) cabin was once a small cafe, but was converted to a cabin in 2005. It is a favourite among couples, motor bikers, bicycle riders, seniors, small families ( max 2 adults and one child) or single travellers, offering fully equipped facilities, a 2-minute walk to the beach, close to Mackie Beach Park. 3 Just north of Boswell's public boat ramp, midway between Creston and the (free) Kootenay Lake Ferry. Three minutes from Kokanee Provincial Park and 10 minutes from the Balfour Ferry. Nelson is a twenty minute scenic drive along the West Arm of Kootenay Lake. Kokanee Zipline is a short 5 minute drive and we are on the doorstep of many famous mountain bike trails in Kokanee Glacier Park.

We have two separate suites available on the upper level of our home overlooking the beach.
