In the grounds of Alnwick Castle the Duchess has built the most amazing treehouse. This is a lovely restaurant and worth a visit during your stay. Book in advance but why not plan your day and visit the castle and gardens as well.

Home of the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' moto Barter Books is one of the biggest second hand book stores in the country. Located in the old Alnwick Train Station which has be preserved beautifully. Sit and have coffee buy the open fires and snuggle with a book or two.
