The Pont Julien is a Roman stone arch bridge over the Calavon river, dating from 3 BC. The supporting columns are notable for openings to allow floodwater to pass through. Originally, it was built on the Via Domitia, an important Roman road which connected Italy to the Roman territories in France. It was used for car traffic until 2005, when a replacement bridge was built to preserve it from wear and tear. This amounts to approximately 2000 years of uninterrupted use.

This 3 B.C. Roman bridge over the Calavon river is on the ancien Via Domitia, an important Roman road which linked Italy to the Roman territories in France. Traffic continued to use this bridge up until the new one was built just over a decade ago.

Le Pont Julien a été construit par Domitius Ahenobarbus, sous le Haut Empire entre 27 av. J.C. et 14 ap. J.C. Beaucoup ont été détruits au cours des siècles mais le Pont Julien est encore utilisé !
