South of the City you can find „Glungezer“ & „Patscherkofel“ two Mountains connected by a narrow path with the most beautiful view over the alps possible. Visit the website of Innsbruck Tourism for more info.

One of the best hiking trails in the region, as it is a very easy hike with not a lot of change in heigt, but around 7km of length. It is more of an adavanced walk than a hike. It offers a very amazing view and also the nature up there is asotnishing. the so called "Zirben" trees are a very special alpine kind of pine trees and besides looking great, they also smell deliciously. The Zirbenweg can be accesed either at the Glungezerbahn in Tulfes or at the Patscherkofelbahn in Lans. Usually you take the gondola / chairlifts up to the top on one mountain, walk over to the other, go down with the gondola / chairlifts there and use one of the half-hourly shuttle buses back to the other place.
