This amazing walk winds around three National parks, hardwood forests, the beautiful Glenelg river and quaint township of Nelson. Explore aboriginal heritage sites, the wild Southern Ocean, vast sand dunes and beaches, rugged cliffs and fresh water lakes. Take diversity of natural fauna and flora including blue and southern right whales and a mainland fur seal colony.

Well if this isn't advertised to backpackers and walkers of the world I don't know then, because every time I walk on GSWW track beach, forest or roadway, park someone asks me how do I get to ? Fabulous scenery and lots of information on it with a leaflet from the Portland Visitor Information Centre which incidentally has a plethora of information on Portland and its many surroundings districts and suburbs

Famous local long walk, built and maintained by local volunteers. Fantastic walking tracks around the area, incorporating beaches, capes, forests and rivers. Amazing views. A map is on the wall in the cottage and are available to buy at the tourist information centre. More information available on the Great South West Walk website.

Sections of this walk can be done at a time or the whole lot at once. A free walk and we can drop off and pick up from destinations at a small fee
