Oceanside’s original town center, Heritage Park Village and Museum features several historical buildings preserved on two-acres. The historic village includes the first General Store, a blacksmith shop and livery stables, a jail, the Portola Inn, Libby School and the Blade newspaper building.

Visit the North County Model Railroad Museum to run and operate model trains with experienced volunteers. The museum is open every Saturday for its weekly Trains for Kids event.
