One of two marine rail lock in the world. And a Canadian historic site! Fun to sit and watch the boats lift over two bodies of water. The Bug Chute Marina restaurant has great food, drinks and ice cream!

Magnificent piece of engineering. Boats of all sizes, from kayaks to houseboats, are transported from one waterway to another. The only incline-plane boat lift in North America. Great for picnics. Restaurant and washrooms nearby. Small museum on the history of the locks. Ice cream at the neighbouring Marina. Free parking on the other side of the site.

Boat or car to the historical Big Chute Railway. An amazing piece of engineering but great fun for the kids. Not bad gawking at all the expansive boats travelling through too.
