There’s no denying that South American influence can be found in dishes throughout Miami. But Obra isn’t just turning out run of the mill fare that can is seen on menus in the area. Led by chef Carlos Garcia, who is best known for Alto in Caracas, which was part of the Latin American 50 Best Restaurants for the first four years of its opening, it it serving up some of the best and most creative Latin-fusion food in city — if not the country. Guests are encouraged to grab a seat at the bright wrap around counter that surrounds the open kitchen and watch the masters at work.
