Beautiful beach 1.5 hours from Brooklyn on the southern most point of Long Island. To get there, take the Nostrand Avenue C Train to Penn Station 34th street. Then switch to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) to Long Beach. If you leave early in the morning, it's a great all day activity for the family.

Always something to do and see... whales, dolphins, surfing, fairs, free movie nights at the beach, free summer beach concerts, biking, etc...
