For the avid mountain biker and cross-country skier, these trials are a must visit. Located in LV on crown land, the Forest Lea Trails are volunteer led and maintained. The trails are used for mountain biking, hiking, and walking in the spring, summer, and fall. In the winter they are used for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat biking. In the winter months, the trails are converted into cross-country ski, snowshoe, and fat bike trails! There are over 12 km of groomed classic and skate trails available for your enjoyment with 1.5km of lit trails for night skiing. Snowshoe trails are not maintained and visitors are cautioned to use at your own risk. Winter bikers are permitted for use on the snowshoe trails. The Pembroke and Area Cross Country Ski Club (PACX) is the volunteer organization that oversees and maintains the trails in the winter months. They also offer ski school, youth race teams, and special events.
