The beach is quite long and there is always sand on it, even when the tide is in. There aren't any signs 'to the beach', so the path is near the railway station and goes under the railway line, about 12 mins walk

5 minutes walk from Seabreeze Colwyn Bay beach now has large golden sandy beach, particularly to the west of the pier in the direction of Rhos on Sea. Probably the BEST sandy beach on the North Wales coast. Wonderful for families with young children and walking and sunning for all ages. A major success in moving off shore sand on the sea bed onto the beach and raising the beach level by several feet. Over 500,000 tons moved to beach. . Good car parking and promenade 5 STARS

Miles of fine sandy beach, rockpools and small cafes - whether its sunbathing, building sandcastles, joining the morning commando training or a stroll along the miles of promenade - it's never a dull day.

The promenade has under gone major improvements providing lovely sea front walks to Rhos on Sea. There is a lovely beach (Blue Flag ) between Porth Erias Waterfront and the new Pier suitable for great family days out by the Sea. Colwyn Bay Artisan Market will be back for 2021 it will held throughout the year on the third Saturday of every month from May to November I've enjoyed viewing and the odd purchase from the many unique handmade artisan arts & crafts from local artists, along with many of the artisan cheeses, breads, olives, chocolates, cakes stalls and impressive choice of hot foods from around the world. My personal favourite coffee shop is Porters on Station Road an incredibly beautiful restored 1892 Municipal Building, a reminder of the Victorian Architecture that is all around the Town. Our favourite places to eat are the Clockhouse Indian and Virgilo's Portuguese Restaurants both in walking distance from the Airbnb property. For the more energic the cycle path along the Promenade heading East takes you along the coast through Pensarn and onto Rhyl Harbour for a well earned Cafe stop at The Harbour Hub. Round trip is a little over 20 miles.
