A great spot for hiking and getting information about all the hikes in the White Mountains. Mt Willard is an excellent hike for all levels and is accessed from here.

Great place to pick up a trail map, have a bite to eat and hike. We love the fairly easy hike up Elephant's Head nearby. The view from the top of a rock that really does look like an Elephant's head is breathtaking.

This is a great jumping-off point for several hiking trails and an impressive visitor center where the rangers can offer hiking tips and provide maps. There is a playground area for kids and they serve modest, inexpensive meals there cafeteria-style. You can also stay overnight in the lodge (though it's not as fun as staying in the Happy Place).
