Want to know why East Point is southwest of Atlanta but named as it is? Besides Googling it, you could easily stop here (you can walk from my property just over a mile) and find out more about the City you are staying in. ;)

Explore East Point’s vibrant history at the East Point Historical Society. Its collection includes a variety of historic documents and items including an abundance of photos, artifacts, newspapers, yearbooks, city archives, historic council minutes, family records and more dating back to the 1800s. It also actively preserves the history of local cemeteries and neighborhoods throughout East Point and has a retired train on display – tours available by appointment! Admission is FREE!
