Beautiful old University village. Great market on Sundays. walk along the river bank or under the Thames using a Victorian tunnel. You can walk.to Canaru Wharf (about 5 miles from BlackHeath) accessible by DLR from Lewisham or take the 202 bus from Brownhill Road to Blackheath station and walk through the park to Greenwich and beyond.
