A favourite with visitors hoping to get a taste of the Jurassic coast - maybe have a go at fossil hunting. Take a walk through the gardens or out “The Cobb” (the harbour wall). Plenty of pubs and restaurants although booking recommended. Head to Bell Cliff for a good old fashioned fry up. The most lively atmosphere in the evening locally.

Attractive, popular Jurassic coastal resort with the famous cob. Site of the filming of The French Lieutenants Woman. Watch your ice creams and chips as the gulls may snatch them.

Go down on the Jurassic coast and explore Lyme Regis, Beer and Seaton. You won’t be disappointed!

Seaton's neighbour over the Dorset border has something for everyone. Historic Cob and brilliant for fossil hunting as well as some lovely independent shops and cafes.

Great beach for a safe sea swim, an abundance of lovely shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries - and fossil hunting of course. It's heaving in August. Best enjoyed in September when its less crowded and the sea is still warm.
