Just facing the butchers and ice-cream shop at the bottom of Alworthy Avenue. All you need for breads and cakes! Things to ask for and try are soda bread and potato bread farls and pancakes. These make up the famous Ulster fry with sausages, bacon, eggs, vegetable rolls, black pudding (get these at McMahon's butchers across the road). Other delights include custard buns/pies, treacle bread, Veda, wheaten bread, apple or rhubarb tart, coconut and iced fingers, Belfast bap or a bigger 'crusty'.
