Literally at our doorstep 900m from The Blue Dragonfly, you can enjoy the Seekoei Nature Reserve, covering an area of 66ha where the Seekoei & Swart Rivers meet and form an estuary. There is a 1km/3km hike from which 120 different bird species has been identified and bird hide where the birds can be viewed, bushbuck, grysbok, mongoose, blue duiker and even spot a flew flamingos if the weather suites them.

Perched between the idyllic retreats of Aston Bay and Paradise Beach, both of which are situated just outside the surfing mecca of Jeffrey's Bay. The reserve occupies a total area of more than 60 hectares (about 150 acres). It's geographic location, on the estuary formed by the confluence of the Swart River and the Seekoei River, adds another dimension of beauty and natural abundance. The flora is the natural habitat for a number of animal species, including more than 120 different kind of birds. Wildlife can be spotted here includes different duikers,bush pig, caracal, mongoose, porcupine, the ungulate tortoise, and the spotted genet (or Cape genet).
