Why wouldn’t I recommend this piece of paradise. Walk or sit and relax. Take your surf caster down to Bowentown for a spot of fishing. Enjoy the views of the whole beach and down the inner Harbor down to the mount from Pio Shores. My favorites grabbing fish and chips or pizza and enjoying them from the lookout. The main end of the beach is a surfers favorite. Enjoy the trig walk or trek over to Orakawa bay - take a picnic you don’t want to rush this place. Waihi beach Village has everything from gourmet foods, great pubs, live music and great shopping. There’s also a local bike hire and great cycle trails. Enjoy a spa day starting at Soul, with a spot of shopping. I’d find that hard to decide on that or going fishing - bring your boat and head out to the Mayor for the day.

Waihi Beach has a smaller shopping Centre with all the usual cafes and eating houses.. there is also a wonderful Beach shore where Cast fishing is very successful. Further up the road is Waihi where the RSA provides great meals.

These are boutique shops. There are craft shops hidden down drives behind the main shops, so wonder around.

Great place to take a family. This has a pool, spa pool, play grounds, blow up equipment, you can feed the eels in the river. Great place to pay and visit!
