Bird life galore. 40 mins away from here. Then go to Amble on Sea for fish and chips. Or the best steak pies in the history of the world from The Amble Butcher on the high st. Don’t go anywhere else!

A large variety of birds can be seen from accessible hides. Enjoy a drink and snack overlooking the lake.

Just recently opened, is the Wildlife Discovery Centre with this Nature Reserve. It is part of the the former Radcliffe open cast coal mine, which was landscaped to produce a lake with islands. Check out the views across to Druridge Bay. Great day out for kids and adults alike.
