Jonathan Dickinson State Park has great walking trails. You can also go on guided horse back rides (seasonal), rent a boat, or go for a tour on the Loxahatchee River to see Trapper Nelson's homestead.
This place is not just interesting for its wildlife and tours, it has historical significance. In WW2 soldiers were stationed here and went through a major hurricane. I'm not sure what remains, but it is a local favorite. Check website for tours and access.
