Saripolou Square is known today as the most bustling square of Limassol for its cozy bars, restaurants and shops. It is a place that breathes the warm Cypriot hospitality. There are approximately 30 bars around this square, which all have their own unique vibrant identity to suit all styles and appetites. Visit the square for a traditional cypriot meze or a cold beer daytime and a cocktail and some entartainment at night. At the edge of Saripolou square you will also find the town’s old market. The market was created in 1917, in a period when Limassol was continuously developing to get to its final form as it is today. The Market as well as the surrounding traditional shops and restaurants was the center of trade and social activities until the end of the 70s, right before the creation of new shopping centers. Today an effort is at work by younger entrepreneurs so that it becomes an local attraction as it used to be. The development of Saripolou square just outside of the market has added to the re-gloryfication of the market. Traditional products, herbs, fresh local fruit and vegetables can be found there. The main Limassol bus stop is just 100 meters away form the market. Venues working hours are Mon – Sun: 10:00 am – 2:00 am. There is plenty of parking around the area, although some incur a small fee arounf 2 to 3 euro.

Saripolou Square is part of the old town of Limassol. Explore the small streets with lovely cafes and restaurants in beautiful, crumbling buildings surrounded by local graffiti art!

It’s not called travelling unless there is food and drink involved. Located in the bustling centre of Limassol, Saripolou Square is the favourite nightlife destination for visitors and locals. Featuring the characteristic architecture of the early 20th century and full of character, Saripolou Square boasts delicious spots serving refreshing, appetising cocktails and fresh, local food you’ll love. The best way to get acquainted with Cypriot food is to order a meze platter; a series of dishes that include some of the most well-known, traditional foods like kebab, halloumi, koupepia, sheftalia, and makaronia tou fournou.
