For any guests who are up for some outdoor exercise, the Cowles Mountain trail is a great workout and offers a beautiful view of San Diego when you get to the top. The ocean is clearly visible when there are no clouds. Some parts are steep so this is not recommended for small children.

Cowles Mountain Trail is a 3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near La Mesa. It is the highest peak in San Diego and features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, and mountain biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

This hiking trail is great to hike. Wear good shoes and take water to hydrate.
