Walking distance/one MRT station away from the must visit National Opera House/Music Hall (two separate buildings) as well as the Zhong Zheng Memorial Hall (MRT station name). You may book tickets for performances on line or simply buy one at the counter.

You can admire Chinese archeticture and history, a great place to take a leisurely walk, go to Nanmen Traditional market to see Food Network Asian bizarre with its crazy smells, on the 2nd floor there's made to order knife cut beef tomato noodle soup, you'll thank me later, next door to Nanmen is a 24hr pork rice place called Jinfengluroufan, its worth a try late night muchies

中正紀念堂是一座為紀念已故前中華民國總統蔣中正而興建的建築,位於臺北市中正區,也是眾多紀念蔣中正的建築中規模最大者 The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a building built to commemorate the late President of the Republic of China, Chiang Kai-shek. It is located in the Zhongzheng District of Taipei City and is the largest among the buildings commemorating Chiang Kai-shek.
