Brownsea Island is a must on your visit. Get a ferry from Poole /Sandbanks, it is a short trip across. The castle is out of bounds to the public but there is lots to see and lovely walks. Thee is a National Trust shop and tea house also. This is island where Baden Powel held the first Boy scout camp over 100 years ago. You can walk around the island. It has beautiful vistas of the harbour. See if you can spot the red squirrels, the deer and the peacocks.

Take a short boat trip from Sandbanks or Poole Quay to visit this tranquil National Trust island - the home of the first Boy Scout Camp!

Such a special place! If you're lucky you'll spot red squirrels! Peacocks, wild trails and natural play parks. You need to book through the National Trust and get a ferry over from Poole Quay. There is a cafe.
